Psalm 21

Off your plank steel words roll;  full throttle, exacting its toll.

Angry names unleash tongue's tide, hurling anguish deep inside.

Each raging word a sudden blast.  My heavy heart is sinking fast.

As gusting furies wildly blow;  they break and crash against my soul.

How stormy phrases heave to quell.......... my hallowed light of day!

And I endure diurnal hell..................pray not to drift astray.

I persistently strain to cope...............in a seething sea of dim hope.

His frigid waves lambaste and shock.  I need the Lighthouse on the Rock.

Your tempestuous squall I try to ride...........& seek The Daystar for my guide.

***

The future is drowning is your icy water's past.

Let Spirit's fire melt icicle memories of sorrow.

Don't dine on old wind. Get engaged in a mental fast.

Say, "Goodbye!", to yesterday, so you can welcome tomorrow.

There's a price for looking back: Immobilization!

How can you steer clear, when you are focused on reverse?

You're coerced into catatonic preoccupation.

Tomorrow's blessings are frozen by yesterday's curse!

It will harden your hearteries, and you know what's worse?

Do you really want to be chauffeured in your own hearse?

Turn farsighted to nearsighted by staying immersed

In the Word of Life. You'll be amply reimbursed.

Quit picking the scab, you have continually nursed.

Past imperfect gets no conjugal visits, if you put future perfect first!
