Body-head

This Lily of the Valley is not afraid to open up and face

Exposure to the elements of stark shame and ignoble disgrace:

Though the outer beauty fades,  the inner glory is not effaced.

Even the devilish winds of that nefarious fallen angel

In his typhoon-like bane,making life at times very painful.

For though the storming may strip me of a pristine petal,

I will not shrink back.  My stalk is godly metal,

But., even if death's sickle cuts me off right at the stem.

It won't impede the supernal work that was begun by Him.

For the Holy Spirit has blown.....................those sacred seeds to ground His own.

And the many lily's glory will surpass ,what my only one flower ever could.

So what the tempest's darkness meant for bad .........

The Light of the World will use for good!

***

Pitiful ignorance says, "Give it a rest." ,

When your disheartened soul is feeling depressed.

But listen closer to your subconscience:

It's telling you the old man has to die so

The renewed inner man will have room to grow.

To ignor this is just foolish nonsense.

When our flesh has to die,

What great tears fill our eye!

Since we've pampered ourselves for so long,

We have hampered the steps to grow strong.

Crucify the old. Put on the new.

There's a heaven on earth waiting for you.

"Wha! Wha!" methods that worked from birth till ten,

Should be laid to rest once you're born again.

Every fiber is anxious 'bout what will be lost;

Ergo we're feeling so-o-o-o-o mournfully black and blue,

For fire consumes us in a spiritual holocaust;

Millions of chromosomes in their cells to renew.

Don't misinterpret depression's unsettling report.

There's a heavenly delivery you mustn't abort.

Let the spiritual man arise from his dirt;

Cleansed by the Water of Life, who'll comfort

& console you through each daily death; each selfless choice.

Look past this fleeting mourning. It's a time to rejoice!
